15 month check up

Colin had his 15 month check up today,  and he left with an A + from the pediatrician!
He currently weights...
25 lbs , which puts him in the 54th percentile for weight
33 inches long, which puts him in the 93rd percentile for height
head circumference was 19 and 1/2, which puts him in the 90th percentile. Not sure what this really means?

I remember in the first few months of Colin's life, I'd go to the pediatrician with a list of questions. I was always so nervous that I was doing something wrong and needed reassurance, even though I already knew the answers to most of my questions. Now, over a year later, I go in there with hardly any questions and a lot more confidence, phew!

New things Colin is doing this month:
He loves to play ball, and walks around the house saying "ball" over and over again.
He is understanding more and more. The other day I told him to go see what his Opa was doing, and he walked right to Opa's bedroom door to see him.
He LOVES to throw. and he likes to throw EVERYTHING!
Enjoys turning the pages on all his books.
He likes to explore in his new play house.
Can bring me toys that I identify. For example, when he's in the bath tub, if I say " Colin where is your boat?", he will find it and hand it to me.
Knows these body parts and will identify them when I ask- nose, mouth, belly button, feet and toes.
Will give you kisses if you ask for them.
Likes me to sing to him at bedtime.
He is getting at least 2 new teeth right now- the incisors, which I think hurt a lot but he takes it pretty well.
Every afternoon before dinner, he likes to play in the back yard. I pull out his toy push car, power wheels and a couple of balls and he entertains himself for quite some time.
He likes to pick up rocks from the driveway.
Has started spending 30 minutes in the Y daycare while I go to the fitness area to work out, we do this about 4 times a week. He cries at first but is happily playing when I return.
Says "hello" into his play phones.

This month we were instructed to wean Colin off his bottle ( he currently has one at night before bed and when he wakes up in the morning). He LOVES his bottles, so I've been reluctant to take them away, I figure the milk is good for him and who cares what type of cup it comes from? I doubt he'll go to college with a bottle....but I AM tired of cleaning them, and I know it's now or later, so we'll see how this goes! I'm sure like everything else in Colin's life, he will transition with ease and my apprehension will be in vain.

Lastly, a couple more pictures from our Easter outing on Monday.
A rare Mommy and Colin picture, of course it is next to impossible to get one where he is looking.

Isn't he gorgeous? this kid should be a baby model.
